Fenton R. Kay, the author of Dear Jennifer, has a web/blog page at kaylibros.casa. He has written two other books for young adult/middle readers, Chipmunk Jumped Over Him and The Jaguar Drum. Fenton has also published two adult mystery series - The O'Flaithearta Biological Consultants Mysteries and the Carol Montgomery Mysteries - and has recently won an award in a regional writing contest for a poem entitled 'Rainstorm in Juarez'. Dear Jennifer comes from a series of letters that he wrote to his youngest daughter during her elementary school years to help encourage her to read. The book is suitable for 3rd to 4th-grade level readers.
