Vanessa M Gates was born on the tippy top of a frosty mountain flowing with snow and sugar. She loves baby animals and has many of her own, including chickens, kittens, puppies and imaginary creatures too. When she's not writing, she travels to far off places with her best friend, Mrs. Santa Clause, purchasing magical gifts for boys and girls to surprise them at Christmas. Her favorite time of year is summer when she's off hugging and talking with friends and family. Her second favorite time of year is winter, fall and spring. She looks forward to gorgeous gardens, leaves turning happy colors, and glorious sunshine bringing a warm smile to her face. She holds a Master's degree in counseling psychology and yearns to make every child feel included, loved, alive with laughter and full of hope. Each night she peers into the sky and wishes on a star.
