I am new to writing books. My book Brethren of the Black Spot was written in 2009, and this is my first book. Trying to get my book published was a lot harder than I ever expected. I have found writing to be a real challenge and a life-changing experience for me. When I write, I know I do not write alone, but I feel a force around me helping me. Perhaps that is my guardian angel or maybe even God. I had been thinking about my book for a long time before I wrote my first words trying in my mind to make the story logical, interesting, and exciting. I have been an entrepreneur most of my life, wanting to do it my way. I had a business for 26 years in the construction and flooring industry with a product I developed out of my garage that closed in 2008 during a bad time in the construction business. I have been writing my poetry for many years since 1976. I know it's not really the same process. I am open to learning more about my writing.
