About the Author Rebecca Thompson holds her M.Ed. and is licensed to teach in K-8 multi-subject classrooms. For over a decade, she taught mainstream education students as well as English Language Learners, Gifted & Talented, and Special Education students. She has served as an earth and ecology instructor for outdoor education programs and worked in Central America teaching English and Community Development. In 2015 Mrs. Thompson was nominated for the 9News Teacher Who Cares Award in Colorado. She currently resides in Broomfield, Colorado with her husband and two children, where she is a rock climber, cyclist, yogi, avid reader, and lover of animals.
