Chad Hartsock was raised in Bristol, VA (but does not like NASCAR). Educated at Virginia High School, Carson-Newman University, and the George W. Truett Theological Seminary, Chad earned his Ph.D. in Biblical Studies at Baylor University in 2007. He taught at Carson-Newman University for 11 years before moving to the Christian Academy of Knoxville. Chad is author of Sight and Blindness in Luke-Acts: The Use of Physical Features in Characterization (Brill, 2008), along with several academic articles. Chad has also served as a student minister and itinerant preacher for many years, and he officiates high school sports on the side. He also once used a urinal next to N.T. Wright. Dave McNeely is a native Kentuckian, longtime Tennessean, and loyal Hufflepuff. Educated at Marilyn Moore's home preschool, Burlington Elementary, Conner Middle, Conner High, Carson-Newman University, Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond (R.I.P.), and Iliff School of Theology, he has published through various outlets, including contributing chapters to Faith Forward: A Dialogue on Children, Youth, and a New Kind of Christianity, ed. Dave Csinos and Melvin Bray (Woodlake, 2013) and The Exiled Generations: Legacies of the Southern Baptist Convention Holy Wars, ed. Carl Kell (University of Tennessee Press, 2014). He is also featured in Catmania, a photographic tribute to University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball fans (true story). He was Champion of the REL Fantasy Football League in 2018.
