James Hadman grew up aboard a forty-foot-long salmon troller in Southeast Alaska. He has personally traveled the length and breadth of the Panhandle. Totem Challenge, the third book in the Totem Series, joins Totem and Totem Lost in the author's exploration of the Southeast Alaskan Native experience from first contact through adaptation to white culture. These books reflect Hadman's lifelong interest in the people, land and history of Southeast Alaska. He presently resides in Washington State.
