Mary Kathryn Barbier is an associate professor of history at Mississippi State University. She is the author of several books, both for children and adults, including Kursk: The Greatest Tank battle Ever Fought 1943 (MBI Publishing Company, 2002) and D-Day Deception: Operation Fortitude and the Normandy Invasion (Praeger, 2007).
