Pallavi Bordoloi Kakoti-McHugh is the world's first and only person to be trained in the unique combination of Environmental Science, International Environmental Law, International Relations (and Politics of the Environment), Geography and Sociology, which makes her trained and skilled in the interrelated areas of sustainable development and climate change. Kakoti-McHugh has worked at the United Nations Secretariat in New York and various world-class universities in different countries; one of the world's leading earth science centers Geological and Nuclear Sciences and Centre for International and Environmental Law amongst others. As a law student, her legal analysis was published as UN Secretary General's report to the General Assembly of Ambassadors of the world. Over the years, she has invented two Sustainable Development solutions which she believes will greatly benefit humanity. Currently, she is the Founder and Director of World Trigger Point(TM), where she addresses global problems, discusses her understandings of each issue and, at times, exposes certain corruptions and inefficiency that negatively affects the public and well-being of humanity. She was born into an important political, intellectual and academic family. Her great-grandfather is Gopinath Bordoloi, Prime Minister of undivided Assam, a major ally of Mahatma Gandhi and was crucial in securing India's freedom. Kakoti-McHugh's mother is one of the first landmark women engineers, who fought caste discrimination (human rights) and introduced sustainable development in some of India's large-scale hydropower stations and was their leader for planning, design, and power. Without setting out to do, Kakoti-McHugh ended up following her great-grandfather and mother's footsteps in leadership, innovating solutions to public interest problems, protecting public interests, fighting for human rights and being a catalyst for positive change.
