Timothy McDonnell was raised in the wilderness of northeastern Minnesota on the periphery of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. He spent decades teaching English and reading skills to deaf and hard-of-hearing students in suburban Minneapolis. Since his retirement, he spends his time writing and doing volunteer work for a Twin Cities non-profit organization that helps individuals transition out of homeless shelters and into independent living. He is an avid paddle tripper, fly fisherman, and dreamer. He also stays busy helping his wife fulfill a mutual commitment to happiness. Tossed from the Muskeg Express is his fourth book.
