Marina Mayoral was Chair of Spanish Literature at the Complutense University of Madrid. She is the author of numerous works of fiction in Galician and Spanish, which have been translated into Chinese, German, Italian, Polish and Portuguese. Her stories have featured in English- and German-language anthologies. She has written important critical studies on figures of Galician and Spanish literature.
