Kate Maddison grew up with a love of books and movies. Before she started writing novels she tried a few different careers, which turned out to be very useful research for her stories. She was a bartender, blueprint draftsperson, design expert for a TV show, and medical writer. What most people don't know about her is that her favorite color is red - sometimes it's turquoise though - and she loves hiking.
