William Huggins was born in the stunning canyon country of southeastern Utah in the second half of the twentieth century. He currently lives, works, writes, and explores our planet from his home in the desert southwest with his wife, daughter, son, and three intrepid rescue dogs. He spends too much time outside when he should be writing.
Due to his father's line of work with the United States Air Force, William grew up in a series of remote places around the US, moving often. Wanderlust is a primary character trait. He drew inspiration from the natural world at an early age and that passion carried him through undergraduate studies in Literature at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, and later to an MA at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with an emphasis on environmental and indigenous literatures.
