My mother raised our family in a warm and cozy world, which was rescued from the dullness of comfort by my father, a nutty, inquisitive Chinese radiologist, who filled our lives with ham radio drama and electronic gadgets scattered throughout the house, baking in the oven, floating in the bathtub, wherever! Following an Ursuline convent education and public high school in central Maine, I graduated from Stanford and Georgetown University Law Center, with a stint at Harper & Row, where I assisted Allen Ginsberg with his COLLECTED POEMS. After thirty years as a country lawyer in Camden, Maine, and a marriage that lasted against all odds, I am very thankful for the freedom to write. Two of my author heroes are P.G. Wodehouse and Colin Dexter. If only I could channel them both when putting mystery and laughter on paper. We shall see!
