Washington M. Osiro was born in the village of Apondo, Nyanza Province, Kenya on December 20, 1960. He moved to San Diego, California in January 1981 to attend college, first United States International University (USIU) in Scripps Ranch, before transferring to University of California, San Diego's (UCSD) John Muir College to study Political Science. Washington was able to parlay his Political Science education into a long and rewarding career in medical device manufacturing as a manufacturing engineering, operations and quality systems professional. Washington lives in Northern California, about an hour east of San Francisco, with his adorable 9 year old son, Malo. He is an avid runner and cyclist with a voracious reading appetite. Asked to provide a 6 word biography, Washington came up with the following: "He reached out because He could," which garnered the response "very you!" from the enquirer. "Wuodha" is the author's first book. He also says, emphatically, "not the last!"
