After completing training in diagnostic and interventional radiology at the Austin in 1994, Mark undertook a fellowship in interventional radiology at the Hammersmith Hospital in London. Mark returned to take up a consultant position at the Austin, then in 2009, underwent training in interventional neuroradiology at Monash Medical Centre. In January 2015 he passed the European Board of Interventional Radiology Exams. In his career in interventional radiology, Mark has been involved in the establishment of a wide range of services, from lower limb angioplasty and thrombolysis to endovascular management of aortic aneurysms and dissections, percutaneous ablation of liver and renal tumours, and more recently, treatment of cerebral aneurysms and acute stroke. Mark currently provides services in general intervention, vascular and aortic intervention, and neurointervention at Warringal Private Hospital, the Austin and St Vincents Public and Private Hospitals.
