Dr. Nicki Washington is the first Black woman to earn a Ph.D. in computer science from North Carolina State University. She also holds a B.S. (Johnson C. Smith University) and M.S. (North Carolina State) in computer science. With over 20 years of experience in computer science, she has held positions at IBM, The Aerospace Corporation, Howard University, and Winthrop University. She is a native of Durham, NC.
