Author and artist Peggy Macnamara has been painting wildlife for over thirty five years. She has served as the only artist-in- residence at the Field Museum in Chicago since 1990. Peggy is also a professor at the Art Institute of Chicago, where she teaches scientific illustration. She has published four books with University of Chicago Press on insects, nests, migration and the return of the peregrine falcon. The purpose of these publications is to educate a broader audience on nature as well as pressing conservation issues. She exhibits widely in galleries and museums.
