Josiah Johnston is a writer, teacher, and anthropologist, as well as a father of 4. He has two masters' degrees, has lived in 9 countries and traveled through more than forty, is a member of the explorer's club, and is proud to coach his kids' soccer teams. He has lived with Tibetan Buddhist monks, excavated a Minoan ruin, found the last speakers of an endangered language, and worked extensively with the homeless in Asheville, NC. His writings include award-winning articles, poetry, anthropological texts, as well as fiction, but fantasy and sci-fi are his true literary love. This is his first novel.
