About the authors: Robert and Erik, a father/son creative team, designed books and collaborated on writing and art projects until Robert's death in 2021. They both learned to skate on frozen ponds, flooded playgrounds and the local ice rink. When he was very young Erik would sometimes reach up and hook his finger through his father's belt loop and they flew around the ice together at superhuman speeds.
