Bill Harris was born in Nova Scotia, Canada in 1934 and was brought up by his grandparents. He had little formal education. He learned by reading constantly and paying close attention to his best friend, a wildly funny genius named Bill Folker. At the age of 49 he met his soul mate. Her name was Susan Fox. The love of the man and woman in this novel closely reflects the love he shared with the love of his life.
