Mittelman is a Pushcart Prize nominee whose essays and poetry have appeared in The Adirondack Review, The Comstock Review, Mothering magazine, Fireweed, Kerem: Creative Explorations in Judaism, Poetry Motel, and other publications. An earlier version of this book received an award for literary fiction from the Maryland Writers' Association.
