Michelle Vasiliu is recognised for her serious stories about sad things that sometimes happen, like someone close to us being severely ill. My Happy Sad Mummy is her first picture book. Drawing on her own experience of having bipolar disorder, this unique book has been written in response to a need for quality childrens books about mental illness.
