SEAN BOYLAN was one of seven children born to parents in a small Irish townland close to the border with Northern Ireland. His career as a professional photographer spanned over thirty years and, on after his retirement from this business sector, he became a consultant in overseas property investment. Having travelled throughout Europe, the author always had a special connection to Bulgaria, and ultimately received special awards of merit from the government and ambassador of the country. He also received the Paul Harris Award - the highest honour presented by the organisation Rotary International, as well as a seal of recognition from the State of Illinois for his contribution to Mutual Understanding.
