Diane McHutchison and her husband John met their first Wheaten Terrier when friends stopped by for a visit, bringing their Wheaten Terrier with them. Erin walked into the room, sniffed politely at a few things, then settled onto the rug for a nap. Diane looked at the scene and decided immediately that a Wheaten was absolutely necessary to complete their home.It took a little while until Quincy came into their home, and then another two years until Duffy joined the family. The dogs were the inspiration for many stained glass designs and were an introduction to the world of dog shows and "dog people." While the furry dogs never attended a dog show, Diane's stained glass is a popular item in the sales area. Home remains complete, now with ten-year-old Ciara and five-year-old Aoidhghean taking over the bed. (Aoidhghean is Alvin in Duffy's story.)
