D.L. Sims was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and has always been an avid reader, but it wasn't until middle school that she found a love for writing. When D.L. isn't working on her novels, she can usually be found reading, drinking tea, playing with her dog, or looking at antiques. The King Trials is D.L.'s second novel, and her first adult fantasy novel.
