Juan "El" Torres (Spain, 1972) is a comic book writer, who likes to scribble headshots when signing his award-winning books, ruining them.

His work is defined by the use of well-known tropes of popular culture, always with a twist.

His books have been published in USA, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan, and they have guaranteed him a lot of nominations and awards in Europe, and even being Eisner-nominated for "Ghost of Gaudí", which is something he never tires of repeating to everyone.

He's also an acceptable letterer.
