Gwen C. Katz's love of nature began when she was growing up in the Pacific Northwest. Now a resident of California, she loves doing outreach events to teach kids about the plants and animals around them. She is also the author of the YA novel Among the Red Stars. Her favorite bird is the pygmy nuthatch.
