Simbo Olorunfemi works with HoofbeatDotCom, a Strategy, Branding and Communications Consultancy. He is a Ph.D candidate at the University of Lagos. He has Masters Degrees in Political Science and International Law & Diplomacy, a Post-graduate Diploma in Journalism, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. He received nomination from the Nigerian Media Merit Awards for TV Producer of the Year 1991. He has a number of books which has received critical acclaim. Rhythm of the Coins was the runner-up for the 1993 ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN AUTHORS POETRY PRIZE. The book was translated into other Hindi by the Indian Scholar, Professor B.P. Misra. He won the ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN AUTHORS/CADBURY POETRY PRIZE 2004 for the book - Eko Ree - The Many Faces of Lagos. His other books include - SINGING IN THE RAIN, one on the last few years of democracy and governance in Nigeria titled EVERY DAY FOR THE GOLIATHS. He has maintained columns across a wide range of newspapers, magazines and online platforms such as Premium Times, QED and Sahara Reporters, with his writings also widely published by leading newspapers in Nigeria. He is a well-regarded Speaker, sharing nuggets and insights from his multi-faceted experience across many professional and life experiences with audiences across the world. He has used the media and other platforms to promote citizen engagement, civil rights and consumer advocacy, over the last 20 years. His commitment to civil society and community service is exemplified in his unbroken service to the Sunshine Foundation for the Aged, where he has served as a volunteer and Executive for over 23 years. He is also a member of Rotary International. Simbo Olorunfemi is the Convener of the Enterprise Development Talk, a free training platform for practising and aspiring Entrepreneurs to share and develop ideas, while also rubbing minds on the strength of their experiences.,
