Michael Haig is a qualified lawyer and accountant. Born in Melbourne in 1962, he grew up largely in Sydney. He has been published in Australian journals and magazines such as Quadrant, The Age Monthly Review, Poetry Australia, Westerly, The New England Review, Spindrift and CentoriaHe was included in Vivian Smith's anthology, Australian Poetry 1986 and in Rosemary Creswell's Penguin anthology, Home and Away. He was published by Neos, a magazine for young writers in the early 1980s.Outside of his literary endeavours, he is interested in music.
