Ursie Wursie is a nickname bestowed by Ursula's childrens' best friends over 30 years ago. Little did she know the name would become an important part of a future career as a children's author. Inspired by Dr. Seuss at a young age, Ursula takes great delight encouraging kids to read by sharing her love of rhymes in her own books. Having experienced homelessness for a short time inspired a strong desire to help others. Ursula is part of an animal rescue; as well, she donates her books and artwork to organizations like the POW/MIA and enjoys volunteering at horse events. Ursula has TWO major goals in life. The first is to show homeless veterans appreciation for the sacrifices they made by finding them places to live. The second is to provide safe housing to get teenagers off the street. Within those homes should be education to learn life skills and help them realize that each day is a gift to make new choices. By showing people we are ALL essential, it will open up new possibilities to pursue new dreams! For more books by Ursula and to find out what she's working on now, visit ursiewursie.com
