Julie has lived in Amsterdam, Brussels and Manchester. Her travels include: Cairo, Hong Kong, Krakow, Jerusalem, Tokyo, Kyoto, Caen, Sarajevo, and Delhi; she has met many interesting characters along the way... A senior lecturer in creative writing at Manchester Metropolitan Unversity, Julie now lives in Cheshire.
