Jean Burgess is Professor of Digital Media at Queensland University of Technology and Associate Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society She is co-author or editor of five previous books on digital media, communication, and culture, in addition to over a hundred other scholarly outputs.
