EJ Swanson is a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a thinker, and a writer. For more than thirty years she made her living as a lawyer. Now, in retirement, she creates by way of art and writing, and stays sane by way of mindful meditation. Through the writing of this book, she has worked to unpack her full life, sorting out what to take and what to leave behind in the next stages.

She and her husband James divide their time between their homes in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Fintry, British Columbia, and Mahahual, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
