Cynthia Siira is working with the Prince William County Schools as a Transition Specialist. She received her Masters degree in Curriculum with an emphasis in Special Education and her Doctorate in Special Education from UVA. She is endorsed in Social Studies Education (grades 9-12) and Special Education (Learning Disabilities and Emotional Disabilities). She taught in the public school classroom for 12 years and has taught students from 5th grade to seniors in high school, and students with mental retardation to gifted students. She will be teaching Methods for Teaching Exceptional Children for the UVA Northern Virginia Center in the spring of 2008.
