Daniel Janse van Rensburg, a third-generation Zimbabwean, grew up in Angola and Namibia, where he married his childhood sweetheart, Melanie, before settling in South Africa. Daniel is fluent in several languages and worked as a business consultant across Africa until his illegal incarceration in Equatorial Guinea’s infamous Black Beach prison. In 2016, he sued Equatorial Guinea’s vice-president, Teodorin Obiang, and was awarded damages by the Western Cape High Court. Daniel lives in Hoekwil with Melanie, and dedicates his time to witnessing and motivational speaking.
