Samuel Epstein, MD, is a public health advocate and an international authority on avoidable causes of cancer. He is professor emeritus of environmental and occupational medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health, chairman of the Cancer Prevention Coalition, and a former congressional consultant. Dr. Epstein is the author of 270 scientific articles on cancer-related subjects and eighteen published books.
