Gemma Metcalfe has dreamed of being an author since winning a headteacher's award when she was five for her epic debut novel Nan's Tree. As well as writing solo, she co-writes thrillers with fellow author and all-round "top bloke" Joe Cawley. Manchester-born, she lives with her husband and son in Tenerife.
