Matt Lamy was born on the Channel Island of Jersey where he attended Victoria College. It was while studying for a degree in journalism at Sheffield University in the UK that he developed an interest in the paranormal, filing reports on the nearby Peak District's ghost planes, earth lights and hauntings. He is now the Chief Writer at Cycling Active. Since writing 100 Strangest Mysteries, his first book, Matt Lamy has authored Lance and Le Tour: The Complete History of Cycling's Most Uneasy Alliance.
