Jeff Silverman, a former columnist for the Los Angeles Herald Examiner, has written for the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and several national magazines. He is the author of Classic Golf Stories, Funny Business, The Greatest Boxing Stories Ever Told, and others. He teaches a course on the literature of sports at Villanova University and lives in West Chester, PA.
