Dr. Eldra Solomon has written several leading college-level textbooks in Biology and in Human Anatomy and Physiology. Her books have been translated into more than 10 languages. Dr. Solomon earned an M.S. from the University of Florida and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of South Florida. She taught Biology and Nursing students for more than 20 years. In addition to being a biologist and science author, Dr. Solomon is a bio-psychologist with a special interest in the neurophysiology of traumatic experience. Her research has focused on the neurological, endocrine and psychological effects of trauma, including Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and development of maladaptive coping strategies. Dr. Solomon has presented her research at many national and international conferences, and her work has been published in leading professional journals.
