Brian Woolley was born in Texas in 1937 and grew up in Fort Davis, a small mountain town west of the Pecos. He is the author of three novels (SOME SWEET DAY, Time and Place, November 22) and an account of a Kentucky coal strike (We Be Here When the Morning Comes). He has worked on many newspapers and is currently editor of the book review section of The Dallas Times Herald.
