Marilyn Thomas has completed two post-doctoral fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities, one at Yale and the other at Cambridge University. She has also completed three post-doctoral fellowships at Oxford University. She is the author of Church, City, and Labyrinth in Bronte, Dickens, Hardy, and Butor, Victorian Conscience: F. W.
