Cameron Crowe was a teenage journalist for Rolling Stone magazine prior to the success of his book and screenplay Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982). He has written and directed the films Say Anything, Singles, Jerry Maguire, Almost Famous and Vanilla Sky.
