Jaspreet Singh, currently the Writer-in-residence at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, is an established novelist, shortlisted for the Commonwealth Prize 2009 for Best Novel for "Chef". His second novel, 'Helium' was also much-acclaimed. Jaspreet completed his doctorate from McGill University.
