Sheldon Harnick met composer Jerry Bock in 1956. Their first score, "The Body Beautiful," was a moderate success, and they followed it with the hit "Fiorello!" in 1960 which won the Pulitzer Prize. Then, in 1964, the team had their biggest success of all, "Fiddler on the Roof." Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock are considered one of the best musical theatre writing teams ever.
