Born and raised in New York, Sandy holds a doctorate in the history of religion from the University of Virginia and a master's degree in the history of culture from the University of Chicago. After ten-years in academia, he spent the next twenty years as an executive at several of America's largest international firms. Retiring from business at fifty, he founded PKG Entertainment, where he served as Executive Producer for Any Wonder, the debut release of Boston-based band Violet Nine, and the soundtrack for the indie film, National Lampoon's Cattle Call. Residing for the past ten years in Russian Siberia, he is the author of numerous published works, including his freshman novel, Veronika: The Siberian's Tale, available in English and Russian.
