Joseph (Joey) D'Urso is a born-and-raised Long Islander living far from home, and despite his relocation, he has yet to lose his New York accent. He was born to a loud Italian-American family and takes great pride in his surname's apostrophe. Creative even from elementary school, he has been writing fiction longer than he cares to remember. His published novels include "Devils in Sunday Hats," a tale of redemption, coming of age and the death of the American dream, and "The Aetherverse," an incendiary space opera for troubled times. Aside from writing fiction, Joey is an avid saxophone player, having played alto sax for over 15 years. He also has an intense interest in languages (both real and fictional) and graduated from Binghamton University with a BA in Arabic.
