Mark A. Carlson has been a leader and proven landscape lighting designer for over two decades. He has performed all aspects of this practice, including design, installation, consultation, project management, and maintenance. He still engages these activities with his design-contracting business, Avalon Lighting Design. In 2019, he established and launched the Experiential Landscape Lighting Initiative (ELLI), which is dedicated to the trade practitioner and profession.
