Margaret Briggs was a teacher for thirty years in Kent, Yorkshire and Sussex. Since leaving teaching, she has had more time for gardening and cooking and her second career as a researcher, editor and freelance writer. Margaret has also written another book in this series Bicarbonate of Soda - A Very Versatile Substance.
