Jason Holt lives in Wolfville, Nova Scotia with his wife Megan and their cat Pushkin. He is a philosopher and Professor in the School of Kinesiology at Acadia University. His books include Meanings of Art: Essays in Aesthetics and Blindsight and the Nature of Consciousness, which was shortlisted for the 2005 Canadian Philosophical Association Book Prize. His essays have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, and have been translated into fifteen languages. This is his tenth literary book.
